Liberty is one of my favourite department stores in London and it's definitely an institution. It's not massive, but it's a wonderful emporium filled with an amazing selection of accessories, stationary, and high-end fashion. Women's shoes are on the top floor and they used to hold a collection of Repetto flats, but sadly they're not there anymore.
You can easily spend a few hours just browsing around, they have some fantastic gift ideas and while (almost) everything is expensive, they do have sales which are always worth a visit.
